Hendaia French Surf School Surf lessons and courses for everyone in Hendaye on the Basque Coast

The French Surf School Hendaia offers surf lessons and courses to all types of audiences (individuals, groups, schools) from the age of 5 in private lessons and from 6 years old in group lessons.

In our ideally located beachfront premises facing the surf area, you can enjoy a changing room area equipped with showers and individual storage lockers.

Hendaye beach is renowned as a "green zone" for surfing (no dangerous rip currents). Thanks to its gradual slope, the site offers gentler waves than the rest of the Basque Coast. A logical step for beginners and those looking to improve their technique.

Come and discover a fun and accessible discipline for everyone, thanks in particular to the evolution of training boards which allow for faster learning.

We offer several time slots per day, but we recommend the morning times (fewer people, better practice conditions).

Ideally, the 8:30 am slot is best for teenagers and adults, and the 11:30 am slot is best for 6- to 8-year-olds. Parents and children can be grouped together in the same time slot.
