  Located 650m above sea level at the entrance to the village of Larrau, in Haute Soule, twenty minutes from the Spanish border, near the Iraty forest and the Sainte-Engrace valley, come and discover the rich cultural heritage of the Basque Country through tourist, historical, archaeological and gastronomic circuits.
  
  An essential stage of the GR10 in the heart of hikes and exceptional sites, such as the Pic d'Orhy, the Holzarte footbridge and the La Verna cave, you can enjoy sports activities such as canyoning, caving or even hiking climbing.
  Located 45 minutes from the ski resort of La-Pierre-Saint-Martin, and 20 minutes from Iraty, you can come and practice many winter sports.
  Paradise for seasoned cyclists, various circuits (Port de Larrau, Col du Soudet, Col de Bagargui…) are waiting to test your calves!
  Also, the Organbidexka pass will enchant ornithology enthusiasts.
  
  We offer several rentals of different standings, all integrated into the natural and peaceful setting of the campsite.
  From the classic Mobile Home to the very comfortable chalet, you will benefit from the essentials for a pleasant stay and to enjoy the beauty of the mountains.

I can't see how this lovely site can be anything less than 5* for anyone visiting the area we can't recommend this place anymore, for a quiet, relaxing, amazing views and walks, as well as the friendly Fabrice welcome and reception, food curtesy of Roman an amazing chef, the bar and of course the on site shop. Super clean and modern toilet facilities - all you could want if you're a couple looking for a quiet get-away. Booked for two nights, ended up staying for three, and if it wasn't for the timetable we would have loved to stay longer. Would love to own a dream campsite like this!

We had a fantastic stay at Camping Ixtila! The campsite is so peaceful! All you hear at night are the sounds of nature. Our pitch was perfectly situated with a beautiful view of the mountains. The campsite managers were incredibly welcoming and friendly, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The facilities are excellent—clean, well-maintained, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We highly recommend Camping Ixtila to anyone looking for a peaceful and well-run campsite in a beautiful location!

Spent a rest day here whilst walking the gr10. Lovely facilities and site, good shop, bar and pizza - just make sure you check that the open hours of these suit you before you arrive. Owners couldn’t be more lovely and they are very musical, I was able to enjoy a very very high quality open mic night in the warm dusk. Buses down the valley to local towns easy and cheap.
