What a wonderful 12 day stay we had at this nice rural hotel. The hosts are very hospitable and we felt very welcome. In addition to a beautiful, clean hotel room, with a wide amazing view from our hotelroom window, we could also enjoy the well-kept garden with the deer that grazed every day around sunset not far from our window, the birds of prey that circled high in the sky above the forest nearby looking for their dinner and in addition a beautiful starry sky. We also visited several beautiful places not far from the hotel (for example Lekeitio, Gernika and a surfing beach). Everything is easily accessible by car and free parking. We also visited Bilbao and Bermeo by metro (from Gernika). We only speak Dutch and English. Happely a lot of the residents of the Basque country can speak English or they find somebody closeby that does. Otherwise we tried to understand eachtother by speaking our own language and signing. Everyone was very helpful. The Basque Country is very beautiful. Overall a fantastic stay. Definitely worth repeating in this very beautiful hotel.

A farmhouse more than three hundred years old adapted to modern times with all its comforts already makes a stay there endearing. The spectacular setting in the middle of a beautiful national park and a forest that brings back memories of times past. The breakfast is very good (I think I have gained a kilo this weekend) and the owner of the hotel is an exceptional and endearing person who makes the stay special. For me, it is an unbeatable place.
