Comfortable Rooms for All

Paorra Baserria offers six spacious rooms, suitable for groups of 2 to 8 people, all with private bathrooms. There is even a room specially designed for people with reduced mobility, ensuring that everyone can enjoy this enchanting setting. For those who prefer more independence, a studio with kitchenette can accommodate up to 5 people. And of course, a shared kitchen is available for visitors to prepare their meals in a friendly atmosphere.

Here, breakfast is a special moment to start the day off right. We are committed to offering our visitors a hearty and quality breakfast, made with local products to delight all taste buds.

You can enjoy toasts straight from a local bakery, accompanied by delicious fresh pastries. We also offer a variety of fresh fruits, including of course our home- grown blueberries (in season), for an authentic taste of the surrounding nature.

Everything is accompanied by different products that suit all tastes, salty or sweet, to fill up on energy.

The proximity of our farm to the French border, San Sebastian and Zarautz is a major asset. Situated just 25 minutes drive from the French border, our traditional farm offers easy access to both the idyllic landscapes of the Basque coast and the bustle of the nearby towns. Donostia, the capital of the province, is approximately 15 minutes drive away, similarly, Zarautz and its long and popular beach, is approximately 10 minutes from the hostel, offering both outdoor activities and a relaxed seaside atmosphere. In addition, we benefit from excellent public transport connections, with a train stop located just 3 minutes drive away, leaving the centre of San Sebastian just 20 minutes away and you can forget about any parking problems.

An Exceptional Natural Setting

What makes Paorra Baserria even more special is its surroundings. Surrounded by 28 hectares of meadows and forests, the hostel is a true paradise for nature lovers. Visitors can relax among the trees, walk among the animals that roam freely, or simply enjoy the tranquility of the place. Goats, sheep and donkeys – all from endangered Basque breeds – add an authentic touch to this bucolic setting.

“The place is magical! Waking up to the sound of animals is like getting back to nature,” shares Anne, a delighted customer. “And the animals are so friendly! It’s a real joy to see them roaming freely around the farm.”

Not forgetting one of Paorra's jewels: its hectare of blueberries. 2,500 plants were planted by hand, and they allow you to taste fresh and local fruits, while supporting environmentally friendly agriculture. All agricultural production is also under the organic label, a guarantee of quality for those looking to savor authentic products.

A Strong Sustainable Commitment

Paorra Baserria goes beyond accommodation, adopting eco-friendly practices. The hostel is heated by a wood-fired boiler that runs on trees from the surrounding forest, and the water comes from a natural spring on the grounds, carefully filtered and treated before use. These initiatives allow our establishment to benefit from the energy rating A, quite an achievement for an 18th-century farmhouse!
