The Corniche d'Hendaye is reputed to be the most preserved corniche on the Basque coast. At the foot of the Pyrenees, the steep cliffs plunge into the sea. They are dotted with coves, with beautiful sandy beaches. Meadows are perched on top of the cliffs. They are battered by ocean winds and shelter a very exotic heathland vegetation. The cornice is crisscrossed with small paths. The Sentier du Littoral offers you a breathtaking view of the coast and the ocean. On the Domaine d'Abbadia , the Maison de la Corniche provides you with all the information you need to understand this unusual environment.
