The Yatching Club Adour Atlantique will be happy to help you discover sea fishing during your stay in the Basque Country.
A crew, composed of a pilot and a co-pilot, will take you 2 or 3 miles off the coast, on a boat that can take 6 to 7 people on board.
You will discover, in addition to fishing, the mouth of the Adour and the beauty of the coast seen from the ocean.YCAA FISHING SCHOOL

Open during the school year to all young people from 9 to 17 years old, this fishing school for boys and girls, where repeating grades is unknown and the school report book is forbidden, allows those who wish to do so to discover the marine environment, but also to learn about safety on a boat and the various fishing techniques practiced on the Basque Coast.
Run every Wednesday by four club members who are volunteers and passionate about fishing, all of whom hold a federal instructor's certificate and first aid training, the Adour Yacht Club's fishing school allows children to experience their first emotions as fishermen. And what pride when they return to the pontoon at the end of the afternoon and show their catch to their parents!
So that the children can "study" comfortably in this school approved by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the two boats of the section, the Crédit Maritime and the Lorycaa, are made available to them on Wednesday afternoons and quality lines and bait are distributed to them.
When the ocean is not welcoming, which sometimes happens in the region, the children stay in one of the club's rooms, where they learn to identify the different fish they can catch, to make marine knots or subtle rigs. But guess which the kids like better, the classroom or the boat?
The most passionate, and there are many of them if we are to believe the percentage of children who come back from one year to the next, can also participate in competitions and compete in the regional championship and the French Youth Championship.

The YCAA-Fishing is first of all a club which practices the sport fishing in boat called: Fishing to support.
We practice fishing in the respect of the environment and of the regulation as regards size and protection of the species.
This leads us to participate in regional and national competitions throughout the year and to be licensed by the French Federation of Sport Fishing (FFPS). This license is all the more important as it includes an insurance and a medical component.
According to the results, a classification is established by the FFPS and only the best ones can participate in the French Championship.
Apart from the sporting side, members can practice as a training or leisure activity:- support fishing
- troll fishing
- jig fishing
- jig fishing
Concerning the activities related to fishing, members can participate in- the fishing school
- the organization of the club's competition days
- driving the boats after validation by the fishing committee
- maintenance of our 2 boats
- you like Belote? a small room is at your disposal every evening from 6 pm,
- you like to share meals with friends? every Friday evening a meal can be organized by the manager of the restaurant at a preferential price; spouses are welcome.

- in the good season other meals are organized by members: sardinades, mussels and French fries, ...
- every year, during the first week of October, a group of members organizes a 4-day mushroom trip in the mountains,
- the club participates every year in the Fête de la Mer ....
