- Gran Camping Zarautz, located at the top of Talaimendi, an impressive viewing tower that offers extraordinary panoramic views of the magnificent beach of Zarautz.
  In this natural space, with a wooded and green area, you can enjoy different accommodation alternatives: plots, glamping or hostel (glamping type) equipped with modern facilities, with toilets adapted for children and disabled people, free sauna and gym, mini-market, summer entertainment (yoga and zumba for adults and free daily activities for children), as well as quality catering. We accept pets, we have electric car chargers, laundry, free Wi-Fi, mountain bike rental, surfing equipment, skate, etc... and we are open all year round.
  It is the ideal place for excursions to San Sebastian, Bilbao, Pamplona, Biarritz ... From the campsite there is the possibility of taking a bus that connects directly with the train station and the town of Zarautz, which can also be accessed via a walk with somewhat steep stairs that go down directly to the beach or via the roadside promenade.
  Zarautz has a 2.8km beach and is surrounded by beautiful mountains where you can go hiking, mountain biking, climbing, etc., as well as any sea-related sport: surfing, fishing, diving, sailing, rowing, kayaking... it is a paradise for active campers looking to exercise outdoors and enjoy endless opportunities for all members of the family. It is also a place to relax and unwind, with unbeatable sunsets and the tranquility that comes with the coexistence of this campsite.

Sehr schön gelegener Platz. Das Sanitär war tiptop. Das Restaurant ist ausbaufähig, war aber gut. Die Mitarbeiter sind alle sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Es gibt Waschmaschinen und Trockner in anständiger Größe, die man in bar oder mit Karte bezahlen kann. Dafür gibt's ein Extra-Sternchen. 🙂 Alles in Allem empfehlenswert!

Solid campsite with room for improvement In itself a very nice campsite with a great view, but the pricing is a bit confusing. We visited twice in three weeks (as pilgrims) and noticed that the price per night was higher on the first visit than it was ten days later. This may have been due to the construction work that took place during the second stay - this started early in the morning and lasted until the evening. While travelers with a car or motorhome were able to get around during the day, it wasn't so easy for us as pilgrims on foot. It is also incomprehensible why the renovation work only starts in April, even though the campsite is open all year round. Planning earlier during less busy times would certainly be more pleasant for guests. In addition, a notice of the construction work in advance would have been helpful, as the noise was considerable - including reggaeton beats from 9 a.m. onwards. The shop and bar were part of the construction work, which would have been good to know in advance, as we had to sprint to Eroski on foot around 8:30 p.m. to get something to eat. The clean sanitary facilities and the possibility of doing laundry (4 euros, card payment possible) are positive. There is also a picnic bench area which is handy for self catering. Another plus point: a taxi goes to Zarautz three times a day for just 1.50 euros - a cheap and convenient way to get into the city. The course has its strengths, but a more transparent pricing policy and better communication regarding construction work would be desirable.
