URDAX, NAVARRE

Urdazubi/Urdax is located in a privileged setting, just a few minutes from the French border. In the village itself there is an old mill from the 18th century, restored and active, a thousand-year-old tree, a pelota court and a children's playground. There are many artisans in the area. Several medieval bridges span the Ugarana trout river that runs through the village. There are houses with coats of arms, among which stands out that of the 17th century writer Pedro Aguerre "Axular". The church of the old convent of El Salvador is now a parish church. In one of its five hamlet districts, Leorlas, there are the surprising Ikaburu caves.
