 Couleurs CERISE aka Cerise Pellizzoni, artisan leatherworker, explores the world of skins with an expertise that encompasses a diversity of materials, from cork and Piñatex to classic leathers such as goat, lamb, cow, buffalo and even fish!

Turning her passion into a profession, she brings bags, accessories, jewelry and objects to life in her Basque workshop under her own brand, Couleurs Cerise. Passionate and eager to share her know-how, Cerise organizes creative workshops where you can collaborate with her to create a piece unique to your image.

Since childhood, Cerise Pellizzoni has cultivated her passion for horse riding. Alongside her sister, she began riding and acquired her first horse at the age of 14. Heir to the artistic skills of her father, a cabinetmaker-turner and wood and metal sculptor, Cerise, skilful with her hands, naturally began her career as a harness saddler in a prestigious Basque saddlery house. After the birth of her children, Cerise embraced entrepreneurship in 2017, while continuing her work for the leather industry. Gradually, she created her own range of leather goods, Full Colors, which she sells at local artisan markets and in partner boutiques.

Meticulous and passionate, Cerise works in the traditional way, making a variety of products such as bags, tote bags, pouches, cases, wallets, card holders, key rings, belts and even postcards! It also holds the "réparateur" label awarded by the Chambre des Métiers and ADEME, testifying to its commitment to repairing rather than replacing your accessories, shoes, scooter saddles and even furniture.

Since September 2020, Cerise has been welcoming you to the heart of her small workshop in Arbonne to share her passion. She offers 4 workshop formats to enable you to create your own leather goods accessory: 

• Glasses case (1 h 30, €40)
• A belt (3 h 30, €100)
• A wallet (4h, €110)
• Shopping bag (4h-4 h 30, 165€). 

Couleurs Cerise supplies everything you need, with a wide choice of colors and yarns. If you opt for the belt workshop, you can even choose the buckle to be crimped yourself, offering maximum personalization with the possibility of hammering in a date, a first name, or even a decorative motif!

If you're newlyweds, this is an excellent idea for a personalized, one-of-a-kind, self-designed piece to celebrate your leather nuptials! Before taking the plunge, you try your hand at some off-cuts. Then Cerise guides you through each step of the design process, explaining gestures, best practices and the use of materials. As you go along, your creation takes shape before your very eyes. You'll be amazed at what you can make, even with no previous experience of working with leather or cork.

Couleurs Cerise's WORKSHOPS are AVAILABLE ALL YEAR ROUND, on weekdays or weekends. Cerise welcomes individuals or groups of two. Reservations can be made online by e-mail or by telephone. Date and time are agreed together. No prerequisites other than your curiosity and good humor. However, a minimum age of 16 is required due to the use of certain cutting tools.

• Parent-child workshops are also available on request for children aged 8 and over (from €40/2h, for example, to make an assortment of bracelets, key rings and pocket purses), as well as mini-technical courses, such as sewing machine, leather, saddle stitch or slat finishing, starting at 4 hours.

Couleurs Cerise takes a unique approach, creating pieces from surplus existing materials and promoting "made in France". The creations are fashioned from "second-hand" materials, sourced exclusively from cuttings or surplus, thus avoiding over-consumption. Vegetable-, mineral- and fish-tanned leathers are sourced exclusively from France, Italy and Spain. Cerise has chosen to use mainly French materials and non-polluting products, such as water-based glue. The cork fabric is sourced directly from an eco-responsible Portuguese producer.

Cerise continues to research and develop new plant-based materials derived from fruit processing, such as grapes, apples, bananas and pineapples, as alternatives to leather.
