      In 1957, the Café de la Plage restaurant welcomed its first customers under the direction of Inachi Sansebastien. 

      In 2024, a wind of renewal blows over this emblematic place with the arrival of Patxi, a chef passionate about traditional Basque cuisine, inspired by his amatxi.

      A native of Socoa with 20 years' experience in the family restaurant, Patxi invites you to discover authentic, tasty dishes faithful to Basque tradition. His cuisine pays homage to the recipes handed down by his amatxi, offering a unique culinary experience full of character.


      Come and sample the delights of the Basque Country in a warm and friendly setting, where each dish tells a story of family and terroir.

    I love this restaurant, everything is good The wonderful welcome, the delicious dishes I don't understand the grumpy people who criticize, young couple (he in the kitchen, she in the dining room) very friendly, the waitress too, Although I don't live in St Jean de Luz, I go there very often and I recommend it to all my friends who are always delighted

    Salle très agréable, bien décorée. J'ai mangé des chipirons à l'encre frais !! Un régal ! Les ravioles en entrée étaient excellentes on vois le travail du chef. Les serveuses étaient souriantes et nous on fait un très bon accueil. Cet établissement est classé, propre accueillant et la cuisine est parfaite ! Merci, on reviendra !
