    • BRANA, A FAMILY STORY…

For over a century, four generations have succeeded one another in the wine trade. In 1974, Etienne Brana and his wife Adrienne created the distillery and planted an orchard of William pear trees. Martine and Jean, their children, took over.

Today, Martine, a distiller, has taken over and developed the precious ancestral family know-how and continues to innovate with fruits, spices and plants!

All the feminine delicacy and finesse can be found in these precious bottles of spirits.

In 1984, we created a 16-hectare terraced vineyard on plots chosen for the quality of their soil, made up of iron-rich Triassic sandstone, as well as their ideal South/South-West exposure.

The diversity of the terroirs allows us to offer different expressions and a very wide range of wines. In addition to our passion for vines and wine, we have a real interest in nature. This is how everything communicates in the approach and work of the vine: from sustainable cultivation to biodynamics and respect for the environment.

106 different plant species and 110 nesting boxes (the vineyard is home to 35 species of birds, valuable helpers) are present on the estate which is now certified HVE, High Environmental Value, level III, in organic conversion.

Also discover the new distillery in the artisan village of the town of Ossés (located on the Bayonne/Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port axis), with a space dedicated to discovering the distiller's profession. The wine estate will also be represented there. The range of Brana wines and spirits will be offered for tasting.

Top notch welcome and service. Explanation of the history of the distillery and quality tasting. We were a large group for a stag do and are delighted to have chosen this activity. We recommend it to everyone! As a bonus, our guide/host, Gaëlle knew how to liven up and enhance the service with her good humor, which allowed everyone to have an excellent time!

Welcoming and sharing products from this house to which I sign a big YES. The visit was super fun and the tasting of their ranges magical👌🏼 I particularly recommend the clementine brandy and the peppermint liqueur.
