  Located on the highest peaks in the interior of the Basque Country, in the heart of the Aizkorri mountain range, the Oñati-Arrikrutz cave is one of the largest caves in Gipuzkoa. This cave was one of the pioneers of speleological and paleontological research in the Basque Country and stands out for the discovery of the complete skeleton of a cave lion (Panthera leo spelaea), the lion of Arrikrutz. Nice experience, we didn't book tickets in advance, tour lasted an hour, child friendly, great tour guide.

Beautiful little town, peaceful, Bascs drinking coffee, interesting writing on one of the houses UDALTZGIONGIA, prbably meaning Police in utmost interesting Basque? language - sorry for spelling.

The explanations in spanish in one hour were very good. A natural space that deserve a little time of your holidays. Always at 10°, easy to visit, some scales but not get across narrow ways.
