    • Located within the Plain of Ansot natural area, the Bayonne Natural History Museum offers a permanent exhibition throughout the year on the barthes of the Nive and the biodiversity of the Pyrenees Oceans. You will be able to discover the regional fauna and flora, including the Desman of the Pyrenees, the Brown Bear, the Great Soldanelle, the Ragwort of Bayonne...

      Temporary exhibitions are presented during the year, on various themes, related to the natural sciences and the environment, as well as the relationship between man and nature. The Museum also offers many events: scientific workshops, guided tours, conferences, etc. A Documentation Center makes a large part of its documentary collection available to you for consultation and loan.

      Summer (last Sunday in March to last Saturday in October): Tuesday to Friday, 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. (Aïtachoury portal) – 6 p.m. (South portal) and Saturday to Sunday 9:30 a.m. – 7 p.m. (Aïtachoury portal) – 6 p.m. (South portal) .

      Winter (last Sunday in October to last Saturday in March): Tuesday to Friday, 8 am - 5.30 pm (Aïtachoury portal) - 4.30 pm (South portal) and Saturday to Sunday, 9.30 am - 5.30 pm (Aïtachoury portal) - 4.30 pm (South portal).

    New exhibits every 4 months. The natural museum is small (compared let's say to the one in Toulouse). But the settings are cool (by the river along the river). We keep going back....

    A pretty big park that I really enjoyed walking. far from everything, the park is more or less sheltered from noise (the highway is never far away) but allows you to see beautiful birds. There are a number of streams inside the park which is bordered by the Nive river.
