The Urkiola Natural Park is a haven of nature for hikers. It is a set of limestone mountains in the Sierra d'Aramotz, straddling Biscay and the Alave. Hiking for hikers, but also mountaineering are essential, since some peaks are high and difficult to reach without adequate equipment. At the heart of the park, the cave of Mari, a goddess from Basque mythology, but also the cave of Baltzola in Dima.
For the record, they say that the sanctuary of Urkiola is a place of pilgrimage for singles, who seek love... You have to touch the stone at the entrance of the sanctuary to receive its good graces.
