    • Inazio Urruzola Txakolina - Vineyard, winery and restaurant

Live an authentic txakoli experience, full of tradition, passion, creation and quality.

Stroll among our vineyards in Alkiza, at the foot of Mount Hernio, one of the most emblematic peaks of Gipuzkoa. Get to know our winery with centuries of tradition. Taste our gastronomy in the restaurant inspired by the artists of the region. And above all, taste the txakoli Inazio Urruzola, a unique wine with the designation of origin Getariako Txakolina.

      The vine is our home.

Txakoli is our passion and also our profession. We are wine artisans. We live among the grapes, in harmony with nature. We maintain the know-how of several generations, and we take care of it, to create a unique txakoli . This is our essence.

Discover our cellar with centuries of tradition.

We have recovered the Garaikoetxea farmhouse from the 14th century, maintaining the same structure as the winery. A space where you can enjoy spectacular views of the Hernio massif.

Taste local cuisine at the Inazio Urruzola restaurant.

The building, adjoining the farm, is inspired by Oteiza's work and houses works by Angel Uranga and Koldobika Jauregi.

From September we offer guided tours of the vineyard, the winery and the restaurant where you can discover the process and the particularities of our production and taste our txakolis and our gastronomy.

Enjoy the Inazio Urruzola txakoli experience!

Amazing wine and friendly people in a gorgeous setting. Well worth a trip if you have a car and are near the area. Longer story: I was at a Valentine's omakase at home (USA) and I ordered a bottle of a Spanish white to go with it knowing I had a trip to Spain coming up. The wine (which was a Txakoli) was INCREDIBLE. We ordered 2 bottles with dinner so I looked up the vineyard. Seeing that it wasn't far from where I would be in Spain, I emailed the address from their website to see if we could come tour. Mari responded and let us know we'd be welcome for a brief visit in the middle of the day -evidently they were very busy. After making the trip from San Sebastián into the heart of Basque Country, we were greeted by Mari who gave us a wonderful and intimate tour of the vineyards, the house, and the workshop. We understood 'busy' to mean they had lots of tours but we were wrong -we were the only 2 people there, but the bodega had an issue with its bottling equipment, so Mari and the 3 other workers were scrambling to catch up on some bottling work. Despite those circumstances, Mari still took the time to welcome us to the vineyard and the region, and also share some delicious wines and breads and hospitality and information about wine. And I cannot emphasize enough, the wine (Txakoli) is SPECTACULAR! To Mari and the rest of the team: thank you for your tremendous hospitality. I don't know how long our two new bottles of Hernio will last, but I hope to see your label on shelves in the states (North Carolina, please) very soon. Eskerrik asko!

What a shame I didn't take a photo of the squid at €17... I won't order them again as a gift... black, not at all juicy, ridiculous quality and price, and what can I say about the vegetable millefeuille, which although it was good, the puff pastry was conspicuous by its absence, so why call it millefeuille if it doesn't have puff pastry? Bad place, it does not represent Basque gastronomy. Despite the music and wanting to set that atmosphere. Bad ambassadors of what we want culinary wise from Euskal Herria.
