    • Gabriel and Anaïs relaunched the family chocolate factory from 1903, in a water mill from 1313 that they restored, in La Bastide-Clairence (a village classified among the most beautiful villages in France).


      The place is structured around three spaces:

      • the Chocolate Factory with traditional manufacturing “from the cocoa bean to the chocolate bar”.
      • the Museum in which the ancestral Chocolate Factory is reconstructed with the machines in motion.
      • the Mill with a space dedicated to its history and operation.


      This is the meeting place for lovers of mechanics , history , heritage and of course chocolate. Discovery, sharing and gourmet delights are in the spotlight in this unusual place.


      Opening on December 17, 2023.

    Making a stop between Madrid and Angers, we stopped at Bastide Clairence by chance and discovered this chocolate factory. Very nice surprise, friendly hosts. The history of the factory is superb and the chocolate is excellent. If you are in the area it is worth a detour. They are passionate people who work on a fantastic product…. :-)
