Gutizia Estate Guided tour of a wine estate in the Basque Country

Domaine GUTIZIA is located at the entrance to the village of St Etienne de Baigorry, on 1.5 ha of vines managed with respect for the fauna and flora in AOC Irouleguy. This estate managed in organic farming was created in 2011, by Cécile SABAH and Sébastien CLAUZEL.

Explore the Irouleguy Vineyard and its Biodiversity in a fun way

Dive into the heart of the Irouleguy Vineyard with a unique and interactive experience. Cécile and Sébastien, passionate winemakers in organic farming, welcome you to their wine cellar to share their story and their commitment to life.

Take a shaded hiking trail leading to their Pikomendy plot, surrounded by hedges, hazelnut trees, blackthorn trees and chestnut trees. Throughout the walk, enjoy educational stops with illustrated panels promoting interactive and visual understanding. A fun timeline, maps of the vineyard, jars of terroirs and educational games on biodiversity await you.

Learn to identify each grape variety, like a real ampelographer, and discover the importance of insects and mammals, friends and enemies of the vine. Learn while having fun.

The visit ends with a tasting of their artisanal vintages, notably vinified in amphorae, offering a moment of conviviality and taste discovery.

Come with family or friends for an educational and gourmet escape, where biodiversity and respect for life are at the heart of each stage. Tuesdays and Fridays by reservation for individuals, contact us for groups.
