    • TALAIA, an iconic brand from the Basque Country that produces traditional objects from the region in Anglet

Step into the TALAIA workshop/boutique to dive into the heart of Basque traditions. Located in Anglet at 12 impasse Ernest Lapennebere, Éric opens the doors to his world and reveals his latest creations, including authentic knives, timeless walking sticks and Berger umbrellas, a quality artisanal innovation.

      TALAIA, unique 100% Basque knives

Far from being a simple everyday object, TALAIA knives are true symbols of the culture of the Basque Country and its identity. Made from exceptional woods such as juniper, olive, boxwood or ebony, they reflect a magnificent fusion between Basque and Japanese traditions, offering unique and authentic handcrafted knives. Folding knife, pocket knife, kitchen knife or table knife, these are sublime jewels with a blade in Damascus steel or forged steel, 100% Basque and customizable knives.

TALAIA, walking sticks and MAKILA in your image

True emblems of the Basque Country, the walking sticks and MAKILA are true works of art created with passion by Éric in his artisan workshop in Anglet. Here again he is inspired by Japanese culture with the burnt wood technique which reveals the beauty of the ash wood used to make his magnificent wooden jewelry. Sober, elegant and functional, the TALAIA walking sticks are adapted to your needs and your personality, like the latest addition, the mushroom stick which nicely hides a knife in its handle.

TALAIA, a quality, handcrafted shepherd's umbrella

Here is an essential piece of the Basque Country: the shepherd's umbrella. Once used by shepherds watching over sheep in the mountains, it is today an emblem of the region that perfectly reflects Basque history and traditions. Talented and passionate, Éric enjoys making innovative shepherd's umbrellas with a unique craftsmanship of which he holds the secret. Proud of his land and his artisans, he calls on the family business Les Parapluies des Pyrénées to develop a range of high-end umbrellas 100% Basque.

The little extra: Eric adapts to your desires to create custom and personalized creations. Knives, walking sticks or shepherd's umbrellas, contact him without hesitation to design the object of your dreams.
