  A shop full of delicious products, including locals wines, cider, sardines and anchovies (of course) which were excellent and of the highest quality. We purchased some items as gifts to take home and we also watched as staff filleted and packaged the anchovies in the back room by hand. We were served by Irune who spoke very good English and was able to provide information about the products and area. Worth visiting if in the area.

  This is a lovely little shop in a lovely little town. If you are travelling on the coast you must stop here, you can spend hours up the main little street. Anyway regarding Maisor specifically, it had lots of locally made Wines, ciders and lots of tasty accompaniments for various foods. There is a tasting station as well which is a great idea. Another nice touch was a large window that allows customers to view the staff working away on various things behind the scenes, as you can see from the picture. We picked up a number of gifts here for people back home.

  We had a WONDERFUL experience at Maisor! It's a family-owned business that is dedicated to offering their clients the highest quality products possible. The workshop was so much fun! It took place in their store which is located down by the marina in Getaria, a charming town just 20 minutes drive from San Sebastian. In this same space they carefully elaborate all their own products which are sourced locally and responsibly. We learned about the history of the company which included background on the fishing industry in the region. Ainhoa, who gave us the workshop, was fabulous and showed us the different Maisor products and then taught us how to peel and package the anchovies. We tried our hand at it, and they even let us keep our final product! Afterwards we sampled the different products outside the store which has lovely views onto the harbor and enjoyed some local beer, txakoli and sidra. I would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone who loves food and is looking for a unique activity in the Basque Country.
