    • Maison Accoceberry began in 1959 as a butcher in the heart of the village of Espelette in the Basque Country. To diversify, the shop offered catered dishes based on typical Basque recipes which were subsequently sold in canned form, thanks to the cannery which was set up not far from the shop.

Ham is a flagship product of the Basque Country. It is therefore natural that Accoceberry offers you two local hams, very different, but both produced in the Basque Country.

The famous Bayonne IGP ham, a legendary ham, tender and sweet, fine in taste which will delight children and adults alike. This ham can also be eaten raw on a platter or in thin slices with cheese or cooked with eggs.

Maskarrada ham, named after its producer, is a Basque pork ham, “Euskal Txerriak”. Just like its cousin the black pig, it is sublimated when it is raised in the open air and feeds on acorns and chestnuts (and many other foods that it finds on the ground). This ham is fatter and has a more fragrant taste. Close to Pata Negra, it will certainly captivate the greatest ham lovers.

The Espelette dryer was naturally added to the cannery at the start of 2021, in order to be able to offer new charcuterie products and develop some of them.

Thus, you will be able to find our emblematics: plain country pâté or with Espelette pepper , xistorade, an Accoceberry specialty, or even pork or duck chichons .

Discover all our new products, products enhanced by our teams such as sausages, filet mignon, Basque lomo and kopa (a coppa but Basque). A blend of traditional and originality, these charcuterie products will delight young and old alike.

Nice shop. Professional staff. Quality products but be careful with the price, the prices make them a tourist trap! Ex: the bottle of Goxedari aperitif (also excellent!) is sold at the price of €21.50 while it can be found everywhere else between €13 and €14!!!!!

A very good discovery! The products are of the same quality as the sellers, EXCELLENT. Special mention to Adrien who takes the time to discover the complex culinary culture of the Basque country with passion! He will be happy to help you enjoy ham and confits, specialties of the region.
